Chloé van Soeterstède, who is attracting the attention of orchestras across the globe for her commanding and positive presence on the podium, conducts the Glossop Festival Orchestra in Beethoven’s exhilarating Fourth Symphony.
We are delighted to welcome back Festival favourite Viv McLean, who returns to perform Mozart’s ‘Coronation’ Piano Concerto, a fitting tribute on the day of King Charles’ coronation!
The concert begins with Mendelssohn's beautiful Die schöne Melusine, a musical depiction of a water-nymph that is a precursor to the river music that Wagner wrote for his opera Das Rheingold.
